This ONLINE course introduces some of the fundamental basic concepts in IT Security, digital life skills for work and home, and identifies resources and policies/procedures relevant to IT Security at the University of Saskatchewan.
Since this course is offered online, you can work at your own pace throughout the four weeks. As it has a facilitator, you are encouraged to start it the first week of the course offering and finish by the last date of the offering. On average, past registrants have spent 6-8 hours on the course.
Please note that this ONLINE course may be taken ANYTIME, ANYWHERE and is available for up to 4 weeks (not just the date indicated at the right under Current Offerings > Dates). The last date to register is 2 days prior to the start date.
This course is offered for U of S faculty and staff in cooperation between the Departments of Computer Science, Public Safety and Security, and Information Technology Services. There is a $50 registration fee; registrants are encouraged to consult with their unit heads to seek payment of the registration fee via a University account.
