This course is offered in collaboration with Campus Safety. Safe Computing Practices will provide a non-technical overview of issues in IT security as they apply to users of the Internet and campus ICT services. Learn who the attackers are, their likely motives, and the various methods used to gain access to your account and to your personal information (both at work and at home).
Campus Safety will discuss Identity Theft, Children on the Internet and Criminal Law as it relates to IT investigations while providing a brief overview of the methods used to investigate computer crime.
