Frequently researchers need to use SPSS for Windows to analyse data that has been previously entered using some other tool. This two-hour workshop provides information on how to import data from databases or spreadsheets into SPSS/Windows. Special attention will be given to importing data from UofS Library Services, such as StatsCan Data, and Excel spreadsheets. Instructions will also be provided on exporting data from SPSS into other formats.
This workshop is open to all University employees, but is especially intended for researchers who have familiarity with SPSS/Windows (at minimum, participants must have attended the Introduction to SPSS for Windows course offered by ITS).
The presentation slides are available to download. NOTE: These course notes are only available for download to University of Saskatchewan faculty, staff, and students. They can be viewed by any computer on the U of S computer network. If your computer is outside the U of S you will be prompted for your Network Services ID to gain access to the information.
